The Effort to Recall Mayor Phil Goode has FAILED!
It is reported in the Daily Courier today (Thursday, March 21, 2024) that Stan Goligoski is withdrawing from the race to replace the Mayor, and the recall committee stated they have not gathered enough signatures to move forward with the recall effort.
Mayor Goode has been subjected to accusations of misconduct, malfeasance, sexual harassment, failure to adhere to his oath of office, and conducting unlawful city business behind closed doors, all of which have been proven false.
Many thanks to Mayor Goode's supporters. It was through you that we got the message out and were able to defeat this destructive and misguided effort.

AZFPI - The Missing Outrage over Leaked City Documents
The linked article in the AZFPI blog covers the lack of any coverage by the local newspaper over the illegal act by someone in City Government or City Staff leaking confidential city documents. This not only harms the person(s) cited in these documents, it subjects the city to potential litigation and creates an atmosphere of distrust and fear that future confidential business or personal information will be "leaked" whenever someone in the City decides they are above the law. Claims of Sexual Harrassment Are False
Once again there are those who are circulating damaging and false claims against Mayor Goode. These recent claims are that Mayor Goode sexually harassed a city employee.

Prescott City Council Clears Mayor Goode of any Violations
The City of Prescott has released the following statement:

Prescott City Council Actions Regarding Mayor Goode and City Manager
Posted on December 20, 2023
Following the conclusion of the Executive Session on Tuesday, December 19th, Prescott City Council voted to release a statement regarding the results of a recent investigation of Mayor Phil Goode. At the afternoon voting meeting, Council voted unanimously to accept a settlement agreement with City Manager Katie Gregory, ending her employment with the City of Prescott effective immediately.
The motion and statement following the executive session reads as follows:
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN MOORE TO RELEASE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT RELATED TO AN INVESTIGATION:
THE COUNCIL IN EXECUTIVE SESSION HAS REVIEWED THE INVESTIGTOR’S (sic) REPORT RELATED TO COMPLAINTS ALLEGING THE MAYOR’S CONDUCT VIOLATED THE CITY CHARTER AND DETERMINED THE CONDUCT DID NOT VIOLATE THE CITY CHARTER. PURSUANT TO THE TERMS OF A SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT THE CITY AND COUNCIL CANNOT COMMENT FURTHER REGARDING THE CLOSURE OF THIS INVESTIGATION;
SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN MONTOYA: PASSED (7 – 0)
