Mayor Phil Goode

  • Balance small town feel with modest growth, smart economic development, low taxes, limited government, strong public safety services

  • Slow down unrestricted growth that diminishes Prescottonians’ quality of life

  • Continue to improve the conservative management of our precious water resources, not providing water outside city limits

  • Support a quality Prescott Regional Airport with protections from residential encroachment growth challenges

  • Continue payments to ensure no future liability growth of Prescott’s PSPRS full-pension funding while advocating for state legislature investment reform

  • Support business incubator startups, satellite facilities, and high-tech business park for high-paying jobs around our airport

  • Support local small business through smart economic development policies

  • Initiate coordination and cooperation with neighboring towns and Yavapai County to ensure a prosperous future for all

  • Encourage expansion of local healthcare options

I believe in limited government, low taxes, strong public safety services, individual responsibility, and traditional values.  I structure my life on trust in God, family, duty and country.  I practice what I preach via public participation in city government, input and ideas.  I firmly believe in transparency in our City government and public policy making by the City Council.  I support the U.S. Bill of Rights as it applies to our local government.  I have run clean and honest campaigns focusing on issues and ideas, not on smearing my opponents with false or unverifiable accusations.  I am steadfast and unafraid to stand strong with evidence-based decision making on important issues - and my voting record proves it.  And lastly, I will not and am not influenced by developers, nor do I accept any developer funding for my campaigns - EVER!
